Currently employed as lecturer at the University College Groningen, part of University of Groningen. My PhD thesis, written at the Department of Sociology of the University of Groningen and affiliated with the Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology (ICS) graduate school, is completed and is under review by the reading committee.

Research interests

I am interested in experimental reasearch and theoretical models of group dynamics in general, and cooperative behavior in particular. The research project at the core of my PhD thesis focuses on individual characteristics which influence whether a person is likely to cooperate, as well as social and structural factors which influence cooperative behavior.

Keywords: cooperation, normative behavior, social dilemmas, game theory, experimental sociology
